I am EXTREMELY pleased to offer for your consideration this FABULOUS RARE GERMAN HIDE COVERED OVER WOOD PULL HORSE TOY WITH PHOTO . The photo SHOWS THE EXACT SAME KIND OF HORSE WITH A SMALL CHILD CIRCA 1890'S. The photo appears to be in the original gold oval frame. The photo is hand colored and in BEAUTIFUL condition. The photo measures 23" long by 17" wide by 1" thick including the frame. The horse is in FANTASTIC original condition. It is hide covered over a wooden body. The horse measures 32" long by 10" wide by 26" tall. The horse has its original glass eyes, leather ears,mane and tail, and carved mouth. In photos 11 and 12 you can see how the hide was sown together and over the years it has started to stretch just a little. On the bottom of the platform you can see the WONDERFUL old and original wooden pegs that holds the legs to the platform. T is also remnants of the old red paint on the platform. Also in the same picture #12 you can see w one peg has been replaced with a metal bracket. This is an old repair by the looks. This is an INCREDIBLE find this early horse and the photo to go with it.
