On offer is a fabulous pair of carved wooden head dolls made by the Hildegard Krahmer company in Germany. This lovely boy girl pair measure approximately 14" tall and are in wonderful original condition. The first Krahmer dolls were made in 1947 but I am guessing this pair were made in the 1950s. Their heads are made from limewood and are hand carved with painted features. The rest of their bodies are made from cloth. They are wearing lovely matching outfits. The little girl has a white shirt, red felt waistcoat (free from holes or marks) and a blue and white skirt. Her outfit is completed by white socks and an adorable pair of red lace up shoes. The little boy is also wearing a white shirt with a blue bow tie, blue and white trousers, red felt wasitcoat, white socks and red buckle shoes. They are both in lovely condition for their age. The only small fault I can see is both the shirts are a little dusty and have yellowed slightly with age although this is quite difficult to see. There is also a tiny brown mark on the back of the little girl's sleave. They come from a smoke and pet free home.
