Fairmount 'Sharp' 27-C Wrench - 9/16 - 11/16 New - Purchased from the Government in 1950's This is the most sought after type of Fairmount 27-C, to my knowledge. This style has no writing on the body of the wrench. I just pulled this and many other 27C's out of a government wood crate and was surprised to see the variety of brands that were packaged together. From top center down, they are Arcturus, Armstrong, Bonny, Duro Chrome, Fairmount, Master Quality, Proto, Williams and Vlchek. Barcalo-Buffalo is on the top left and Chrome Vanadium is on the top right. I also found a couple of Lectrolite and a couple of Indestro. I found three styles (different lengths) of Fairmount and a couple styles (different font size) of Barcalo. I also found a few no names that look exactly like the Chrome Vanadium. These wrenches were either in cosmoline and protective grease or just in protective grease. Many still have the label that states: 41-W-1005-5 Wrench, angrs., angle 15 deg, dble-end alloy steel9/16x11/16" QTY I As far as I know, most or all of these are correct for Jeep read more
