Fairy Wedding Locket Antique Jewelry Art Nouveau Maiden 2 Picture GF Paste c1900 Description A MAGNIFICENT JEWEL - A SUPERB AND VERY RARE ART NOUVEAU LOCKET WITH THE IMAGE OF A FAIRY MAIDEN WITH LEAVES IN HER HAIR AND PASTE GEMS DATING TO C1900. This is a magnificent estate jewel!!! Absolutely the finest quality. The Art Nouveau locket with the repousse raised engraved image of a fairy maiden is extremely rare and wonderful. In all the years of looking for wonderful lockets this is one of the best and most desirable I have come across! The locket is gold filled. It is adorned with the most beautiful fairy maiden. This is done in repousse which is raised work and then the details are engraved. The fairy has the beautiful nature inspired lines of the art nouveau period. Her face is just extraordinary!!! She has an abundance of leaves and she is adorned with paste jewels in her hair and the overall effect is sensual, romantic and divine!!! The locket is in superb condition and it comes with what looks like an original chain. The reverse of the locket is engraved with a monogram. On the inside are the 2 original photo holders. It dates to the Art Nouveau period - c1890-1910. A rare find!!! The condition of the locket is truly extraordinary with really no dings or dents, considering that the locket dates to the Art Nouveau period. A
