nice old western spur
Up for auction is this unique nice old western spur. Purchased a collection of them from a lady whose son passed away and she was selling his things. He lived most of his life in California.
These have an interesting attachment to the rowel. I suppose the spurs kind of jingled when the person walked. The spur also includes the chain that goes under the boot. No leather strap.
I can find no maker mark. The owner also used to show horses.
