Gorgeous, 19th century writing slope from Victorian England. Measures 10 1/2"L x 8 1/2"W x 4 1/2"H when closed. Beautiful details such as a brass cartouche, matching escutcheon and more. Working lock with key. A sturdy, solid mahogany slope and ready for letter writing. This antique slope is in very good condition with some wear: Top left corner of the lid shows an old repair.This was restored at some point with newer support pieces, cover to the pen compartment and newer velvet. New bottom cover. The working lock is a little bit fussy.
