Up for auction is this fantastic art deco figural brass and marble lighted vanity. Fresh from a local estate. I was told by the previous owner that the vanity belonged to her Great Aunt in the 1920's. Her Aunt held an intellectual salon in the mid-west during this time, in the manner of Gertrude Stein. This is a true period piece done in heavy cast brass with semi-circular marble top. Overall the piece is in very fine condition. The original switch to turn on the lights is present, but now bypassed and is missing a small switch knob, the marble has small knicks along the edge. The vanity measures 72"x22"x12" and weighs 68 lbs. I believe for shipping purposes the mirror could be removed from the base. I contacted a local shipping company and received an estimate of $125.00 for the 3 pieces: base, mirror, and marble. This is a great piece for just the right place. Please send ?'s and look @ all of the pictures. I looked the vanity over very well and the only marking I could see is on the back of one leg, a number 314..? Buyer pays shipping and any additional insurance. Seller will arrange the shipping, or local pick-up is okay. Payment is by check, or money order. No Paypal. USA only. Thanks!!!
