Here is one of my favorite knives in my miniature collection that I am offering. I will be selling most of my collection over the next few months. I say my favorite, they are all my favorites. The one was made by Joe “HY“ Hytovick. I don’t really know if he made very many miniatures or not, but this has to be the best. This mother of pearl handle is framed in Damascus steel and set with 14K solid yellow gold shield and pins, just amazing. The sheath is all hand engraved out of German silver and was done by FAH, I don’t know who that is but the sheath is signed.. The Damascus steel is a high number of layers but I don’t have the actual number. This California coffin hilt gamblers dagger is done in the classic style of the San Francisco knife makers like Michel Price and Will & Fink. This knife came out of an important collection. Most of the knives in the collection were given to him by the makers for services rendered. I bought his collection of miniatures and was lucky to get them. The knife is mint in every way and is a thing of beauty. This knife measures 3” long and the blade is 1 9/16” on it‘s own. I know that this knife cost over 500.00 and more likely close to 1,000 So I have a low opening bid. For the knife collectors out there you can check on it‘s value your self.
