This one's a little perplexing...a terrific-looking copy of FANTASTIC FOUR #2 that carries a CGC Universal grade of only 5.0 (VG-FN). Published by Marvel, with 10 cent cover price, and dated 1962. First appearance of the Skrulls and, of course, the second appearance of the FF. This copy looks beautiful--clean with nice edges, and vivid cover colors. T is a 3/8" stress tear at the top edge of the bottom staple, a tiny chip at the bottom left edge of the front cover, and a flap tear or "hanging chip"--a roughly 1/4" x 1/4" triangle--at the bottom left edge of the front cover. That's about it. CGC notes that the pages are "Slightly Brittle," although this was not noticeable to us when the book was submitted. Overall, a great book that shows a good deal better than it grades from CGC. Classic Silver Age and key Marvel. A super investment and a must-have for the serious comic/Marvel/FF collector.
