Incredible Salvador Vaca Teran coffee Pot circa 1955 and shown in the book"Mexican Silver" by Penny Morrill and Carole Berk on page 209. This piece is fully signed by Salvador and includes the Design #408.as well as "handwrought" and Salvador in Script. It measures 9 inches high and has a 4 inch diameter base. The tiles are all intact and in good shape, but one tile has a small chip at the bottom. All in All, in excellent to very good condition for its age. Salvador was one of the earliest silversmiths who worked with Spratling and later branched out on his own. He was an early member of the team that formed Los Castillo and had his own shop in 1952, w he continued to produce high quality Silver and other metal products such as this one until his death in 1974--His work is shown in museums,-(San Antonio) and is highly collectible. Great piece-fair reserve!!!!
