Here we have a superb Vintage Silver Plated Ice - Bucket with original plastic liner by world reknowned London maker Garrard's & Comapnay Ltd of 112 Regent Street, London. I would assume that the piece is post World War 2 and in all likelihood from the 1950's or 1960's. With 2 handles, finial and plain design, this piece would definitely fit in today's modern home, as well as a more traditional setting. It would look great in any bar or restaurant too. It is a quality, robust piece weighing in at over 2.47 kilos!! The diameter of the interior plastic liner is 15.5 cms. The entire piece is approximately 19 cms high, whilst the width including handles is 23 cms. As you would expect from such a quality producer, the plating is in excellent order and other than some scratching to the base (which you would expect bearing in mind it's intended use), it appears to be in Very Good Order throughout. Additionally, the piece has been sympathetically and professionally cleaned by my Mother, a retired Antique Restorer and Jeweller and as such, is good to go!
