Up for auction is an old and much used restaurant ware 6" deep plate. The emblem or logo is of Farragut House, Rye Beach, N.H. These words are in the outer oval and inside the oval is a horseshoe with Dixi Deo Duce printed in a banner across the bottom of the horseshoe. Inside the horseshoe are the large letters FH for Farragut House. The plate has been around awhile. It is unusual in that it is somewhat of a bowl but not very deep so I call it a deep plate. The emblem and edge trim are brown. T is a chip on the topside edge which can be seen and one chip on the backside. T are age marks in the center of the plate as one can see on the back of the plate. In green print on the back is O.P.Co. Syracuse China, 8-10. I am not sure what the numbers mean-possibly year, possibly factory. Low opening bid as I am sure someone out t who collects restaurant ware will snap this unusual piece up very quickly. Shipping priority with tracking. Insurance is optional.
