New precision 12VDC micromotor by Faulhaber of Germany Model 2342L012CR. I have used these to repower Athearn F7s and Hobbytown F and PA Drives. The powerful torque allows smooth slow speed running. Athearn applications work nicely with the large A-line flywheels (not included). My hobbytown conversions used the standard gearing to achieve reasonable freight speeds, e.g. 50-60 scale mph. Your results may vary. These may work well in larger scales or robotics projects also. Data sheet for these is available on the faulhaber website. /uploadpk/EN_2342_CR_DFF.pdf Size with housing about 1 1/8” x 1 1/8” front face x 2 1/4” Long (excluding shaft and gear). Black plastic housing is for mounting a gearhead and can be removed. Motor itself is 23 mm (just under 1 inch) in diameter and 42mm long. Shaft on one end is 3/8”Long x 2mm Dia. Shaft on other end has a (removeable) 18 tooth 3/8”Dia. gear. These are precision, high torque (stall torque = 80mNm). Speed (no load) 8100rpm, current .075Amp (no load), motor resistance 1.9Ω. Motor has flexible red & black leads. Rotational direction reverses with battery or supply polarity. This motor is 80% efficient and has an output power rating of 17 Watts See the data sheet for complete specifications. Please contact me if you have questions.
