Here is a Scarce, PICTURE EMBOSSED, Qt. Size Soda bottle from St. Louis that still retains most of the Graphic label. This Bottle has ties to Both Anheuser Busch and the Seven-Up Bottling Company in it's early Years. This Clear Bold Embossed bottle has "FAUST BRAND, REG" on the shoulder, just below the label. Below is a large embossing of a Devil Like Figure with Sword on side and Wand. Below it has "SODA" and "HOWDY BOTTLING CO. MIN. CTS. 23 FL. OZ." The reverse side has "FAUST" in large Vertical letters in a pattern. Below this it has "ST. LOUIS, MO." On the front Shoulder, there is an arced label, with the Devil Like Creature, this is Cream, Black and Green color. The label is about 85% missing a piece on the left edge and a couple small pieces on the opposite side. The letter "F" is missing. The label is Mostly clean and readable. The base of the bottle has the Ober-Netser Glass Co. Trademark, an east St. Louis IL glassmaker. This bottle is in Excellent and clean condition, No damage of any kind..It measures 11 & 1/2 inches tall. The Embossing is all Bold and clear...This Brand was apparently used by the Howdy Co. to draw attention of St. Louyisians who remembered the Famous Tony Faust, who had close ties to Anheuser Busch including his own labeled, Faust Beer made by the St. Louis Brewer.....The Howdy Bottling Co. was started read more
