Be sure to add me to your favorites list ! This is one of the most exciting items I've found in a long time! The playbill from the ROYAL LYCEUM THEATRE in London is rather nondescript. Rust & Cream in color measuring 5 1/2" x 8". the production is FAUST and the date is Wednesday, July 21, 1886. HENRY IRVING has the part of Mephistopheles and Miss Winifred Emery is Margaret. If you love British Theatre, that alone will get your heart pumping! Now for the exciting part !!! BRAM STOKER is listed as the Acting Manager! Remember, this is 1886--------11 years before he wrote his Dracula novel! This was his day job for 21 years! He first was Acting Manager, then Theatre Manager for the Royal Lyceum Theatre! At this time Bram Stoker was writing for extra income, not yet a noted author! The playbill was removed from a crumbling scrapbook, and has a line of paper add along the spine w it was attached to the page, The paper the playbill is printed on is in stable condition and is not crumbling or breaking. The playbill is in two parts, the spine has seperated w the page was once folded. You probably will want to have this one conserved in some way because of it's historic value, but you can safely handle it without damaging it I doubt the opportunity to buy this on eBay will ever come again ! This is a Rare and Precious item! T is a read more
