This is an EXCELLENT collection of Reader's Digest First Day Covers. Each cover has a US stamp from 1977-1981, cancelled on the first day the stamp was issued. The covers are all unaddressed, and feature wonderful cachets by Reader's Digest. Although I did not check every cover, all of the covers I examined were not sealed. In addition, each cover comes attached, via a protective cover sleeve, to an information sheet. These album sheets provide wonderful historical information about the topic and/or design of the stamp. The information presented is fascinating and makes an EXCELLENT addition to the collection as a whole. Plus there are additional information sheets discussing stamp series and topical issues. Overall this collection is in GREAT condition. There is some bending at the top of several of the album pages, but the covers are in excellent condition. Additionally, a few of the protective sleeves I examined were not in perfect condition (a couple are partially separated from the album page, and others are beginning to separate along the side of the sleeve); however, any sleeve imperfections do not appear to compromise any of the covers. This collection includes a Certificate of Authenticity, with unique registration number and embossed seal intact. This collection is housed in 3 red Reader's Digest First Day Cover Collection albums. These albums, and the album pages, are pretty heavy (about 14 pounds all together), which is reflected in the shipping cost. However, if you just want the covers (or the covers and album pages), I would be glad to ship just the components of the collection you want in order to reduce the shipping charges. The quoted shipping charges also include tracking and insurance (to the US only, these services will not be included for international bidders, sorry). In all there are 133 covers (Scott #'s listed below in the order in which they appear in the albums), plus corresponding album pages, additional informational album pages, 3 Reader's Digest FDC albums, and Certificate of Authenticity included in this wonderful collection.
