Here are 200 genuine U.S. 5-cent pieces, mixed dates all professionally counterstamped with the slogan "END THE FED" on the obverse and "RON PAUL 2012" on reverse. The counterstamp is positioned differently on the various nickels with different obverse Jefferson portraits. The newer nickels are designed with a Jefferson portrait that leaves a blank space on the right just large enough for a concise counterstamp. On those the obverse counterstamp is placed offset to the right in such a way that it looks like a word balloon and Jefferson is speaking the words! On the regular old portrait, the counterstamp is placed centered. This auction is for a five full rolls (200 pieces) of these nickels... $10 face value. Keep them, Gift them, Drop them, Spend them... whatever it takes to get the message out. These countermarks were lovingly struck one at a time on professionally hand-engraved steel dies using an antique manual screw press. Unlike most counterstamps you may have seen, these feature RAISED lettering on a round toothed cartouche. They remain legal U.S. coinage though it is possible that the slight deformation of the coin may cause them to be rejected by some coin-operated machines. As for putting them into circulation, be creative! Leave them in tip jars, penny trays at convenience store checkouts, coin return slots in public
