The delicacy of this table can only be appreciated when seen in person ... wonderfully thin, tapered cherry legs, cookie-cornered top, etc. T are a few apologies , however. As is often the case, the legs at some time in the past weakened and some cretian thought they could strengthen things by driving nails into the two weakened legs. Thos nails have been removed and holes plugged, The two legs involved, in turn, have been reglued and are now as they should be, though of course, the marks of the inappropriate "repair" remain as shown in my pictures. The legs themselves are pegged to the skirt (two pegs on each side of each leg). The drawer with its solid tiger maple face is not dovetailed, but instead is t-nailed (early cut nailed). I guarantee this piece to be 100% original ... the screws benerath holding the top to the case have been replaced, doubtlessly at the time of an earlier refinishing, but the top itself is original ... not a replacement. The only replaced wood is a small pine strip on the underside to the left of the drawer which keeps the drawer from 'wobbling' from side to side when slid in and out (I added this strip and did not stain it so that it would be obvious as a replacement ... the original strip to the other side of the drawer remains in place). The table itself stands 26 1/2" high, 20" wide, 18" deep. I should read more
