FEG SA 85M AK47 SEMI-AUTO 7.62X39MM RIFLE

Pricing & History
Description: The SA-85 is an AK-pattern rifle made by Fegyver És Gépgyár (F.E.G.) of Hungary. It was sold in a "sporting" configuration to get around U.S. gun laws at the time. It was also imported into the United States pre-ban in two variants, a solid thumbhole style stock and a underfolder stock that folded under the rifle. This rifle is a semi-automatic version of the Russian AK-47, with a strange thumb-hole butt-stock, helping to make it a legal hunting rifle in the United States. It was a preferred choice of Kalashnikov style rifles over the cheaper but inferior, Chinese models. The left side of the receiver is stamped "FEG" inside a hexagon box. It is also stamped "SM04436 and "SA 85M Cal. 7.62x39 Semi Automatic Made in Hungary". The left side of the receiver, above the trigger, is stamped "K.B.I. Inc. Harrisburg, PA" Caliber/ Gauge: 7.62x39mm; Serial Number: SM04436 Working Order: Firearm has not been tested; Background Check: Required; Keywords: Firearms, Guns; Ref: BD1664Notes: FFL: All out-of-state purchasers of firearms post-1898 must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer in your state.
