I sent you an almost brand new LP, and you sent me back what My name is Mark and I am the bass player for SYMARIP the legendary reggae and ska band and Trojan Records recording artistes, best known for the hits ‘Skinhead Moonstomp’ and ‘Skinhead Girl’. I came across Alan’s services via e-bay in 2008 when I was looking for a usable Fender Jazz Bass for live work with SYMARIP. I had been using a U.S.A. P. bass – but found I needed that bottom end ‘throng’ that only a Jazz Bass can deliver. I do have a ’74 Jazz bass but it only gets used on sessions and is too precious to take on tour. The solution was to find a period looking but very usable Jazz bass. Scouring e-bay I came across a wonderful looking ‘relic’ of a ’64 Jazz bass. The bass had been distressed and set up by Alan.
