FENDER CONTEMPORARY STRATOCASTER - FUJIGEN JAPAN - 1984-7 - KAHLER SPYDER Hi, w elcome to my listing of this FujiGen made Fender Japan Contemporary Model Strat. Manufactured between 1984-87 in the FujiGen factory (as denoted by the "E" series serial number) this is the "rocked up - contemporary" version of the traditional Fender Strat which was the fashion of the day. Has the much sought after locking Kahler Spyder Tremelo system and has 22 frets rather than the vintage complement of 21. Has a nice fat D profile neck with small dot markers. Has the original GOTOH branded tuners rather than the Fender branded ones fitted on other models.Nice sunburst finish with a few blemishes (shown in pictures) none of which seem to penetrate through the finish, some previous owner has for some unknown reason scratched off "Made in Japan" from the headstock ..... idiot!!!, have fitted a Seymour Duncan JB Junior in the bridge space to provide a thicker humbucker sound to it - and it sounds great!! This means this is now much more versatile a guitar - can still have the traditional "Strat" sound from the single coils but switch to a much chunkier rock sound with the bridge pickup.
