WELCOME CARNIVAL GLASS COLLECTORS! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Fenton ACORN Ruffled Bowl in the HIGHLY DESIRABLE DEEP RED GLASS COLOR with striking multi-color iridescence! I have not seen many Acorn pieces with great iridescence, usually they are pretty bland. But this bowl has fantastic iridescence...then stack on top of that the deep red glass color and you have and exceptional piece of vintage Fenton Carnival Glass! T is just a hint of amberina in a thin ring around the outside of the base, other than that....it is deep, gorgeous RED throughout this bowl...AWESOME. This one is a definite keeper all the way...it is an excellent piece of vintage Fenton... not marked in any way. It is spectacular in natural light with vivid ELECTRIC iridescence. Please see the photos up close to see what I mean. It is a superior example of this pattern and this color, as fine as you will EVER see. It is unmatched on display and an excellent investment quality piece of glass. I have included several photos of the bowl so you can see for yourself. It looks even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a piece like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this piece in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) This bowl is in fantastic condition ! No chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs! No major detractions whatsoever. T are a few scattered manufacturing stretch marks, you must be looking closely to see them. Nothing u ncommon. The base is very, very clean, very slight shelf wear noted if any at all. T are a few enclosed manufacturing bubbles, very small. Again, nothing abnormal. The interior of this bowl shows only the slightest hint of any wear at all...you need a strong magnifying glass to pick out anything. The close-up pictures show this quite well. T is a very faint manufacturing straw mark on the face of the bowl...you have to look close to see it. Very common. The ruffles are even and nice around the top. That is all I can find on this gorgeous bowl. I've looked it over hard. I'm being very picky. I included lots of pictures, up close, so have a look. Simply...it is an outstanding, solid, investment piece of glass. You will not find one better anyw! I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. And as all of us in Carnival know color is key and this bowl displays superior color and striking iridescence! One of the best you will ever see. None of these mentionables take away from this fantastic bowl at all . It is as awesome of an example as you'll see anyw ! You'll drive the tires off of your car before you find a better one.
