WELCOME CARNIVAL GLASS COLLECTORS! Item Description: This is a beautiful, old Fenton FINE RIB 12 inch VASE in the HIGHLY DESIRABLE DEEP RED GLASS COLOR with striking multi-color iridescence! The base is 2 7/8 inches wide and the top is flared 3 3/4 inches wide. Just a hint of amberina in a thin ring around the outside of the base, other than that....it is deep, gorgeous RED throughout this vase...AWESOME. This one is a definite keeper all the way...it is an excellent piece of vintage Fenton... not marked in any way. It is spectacular in natural light, really comes alive with vivid iridescence. Please see the photos up close to see what I mean. It is a superior example of this pattern and this color, as fine as you will EVER see. One this size is very hard to find!!! It is unmatched on display and an excellent investment quality piece of glass. I have included several photos of the vase so you can see for yourself. It looks even better in your hands as it is always very difficult to capture a piece like this on film and do it justice. You can reference this piece in David Doty's 1998 Field Guide to Carnival Glass or The Encyclopedia to Carnival Glass and Edwards and Carwile. I guarantee this is authentic, early 1900's vintage Carnival Glass! All pictures were taken outside in natural light...no flash. I never enhance photos, what you see is what you get. I do not use reserves, never have, I believe the buyers should set the value, so bid with confindence and have fun...it will sell to the high bidder. Item Condition: ( Pictures are part of the description...and I include lots of them...so please have a look!) This vase is in very fine condition ! No chips, cracks, fleabites or repairs! No major detractions whatsoever. T are a few scattered manufacturing stretch marks, you must be looking closely to see them. Nothing u ncommon. The base is very, very clean, very slight shelf wear noted if any at all. T are a few enclosed manufacturing bubbles, very small. Again, nothing abnormal. The interior of this vase shows super nice iridescence...see pictures. The ruffles are even and nice around the top. That is all I can find on this gorgeous vase. I've looked it over hard. I'm being very picky. I included lots of pictures, up close, so have a look. Simply...it is an outstanding, solid, investment piece of glass. You will not find one better anyw and especially not this large size example! I collect Carnival Glass myself and I'm picky with my descriptions, like I like others to be when I'm buying so you know what you are getting. And as all of us in Carnival know color is key and this vase displays superior color and striking iridescence! None of these mentionables take away from this fantastic vase at all . It is as awesome of an example as you'll see anyw ! You'll drive the tires off of your car before you find a better one. It has been taken care of and is very clean.
