This exquisite basket is a brand new design by Jon Saffell for Fenton. It is made of CRANBERRY glass which begins with a pure GOLD core which is wrapped in a layer of crystal glass. The rib optic pattern in the basket is achieved by flowing the molten glass into a rib optic mould and then in the final forming mould. A crystal handle in a rib twisted ROPE pattern applies as the final touch. A twisting POPPIES pattern accented with iced GOLD was designed by Frances Burton and is hand-painted on each piece and signed by the artist. This basket stands 10 inches tall to the handle. It has GOLD around the base and also entwined in the POPPIES. This basket is one of a kind. It is from THE GLASS LEGACY COLLECTION done for the 95th limited Fenton edition. It has the silver 95th edition sticker on the basket. This beautiful basket comes complete with the papers that tell all about the basket as well as the original box. The Poppies pattern with the GOLD is stunning. If you are a Fenton Cranberry collector or Fenton basket collector this is the piece for you. It is hand-signed on the bottom by BILL FENTON himself. This is one of the most GORGEOUS baskets I think that BILL FENTON has done himself. The GOLD and on the Cranberry just makes the basket pop. It is a large basket and well worth the money.
