FENTON ALLEY CAT Color: Emerald Green Satin Handpainted with Purple Flowers #5177 A Rosso Exclusive Limited Edition This is a beautiful Emerald Green Satin Alley Cat with handpainted purple flowers. This Alley Cat was made by the Fenton Art Glass Company for Rosso. It was made as a Rosso Limited Edition Exclusive. It is in good condition with no damage of any kind. This Alley Cat is marked with "Fenton 9" in an oval near the bottom along the tail with "USA" under the oval. The flowers are very sweet and the eyes are also handpainted to be natural looking. The alley cat is marked on the inside bottom with "Limited Edition Rosso Exclusive by Fenton Art Glass Made in the USA". It is also signed by the artist. General Information about Fenton Alley Cats: Fenton's Alley cat, mould number 5177, was first introduced into the regular Fenton line in 1970. Fenton bought the mould from the United States Glass Company, also known as Tiffin, in the early 1960s after their Glassport factory in Pennsylvannia was destroyed by fire. The original large cat made by the United States Glass Company was known as "Sassy Susie" and was made in 1924-1934.
