Fenton Glass BLUE FAVRENE HP Covered Melon Candy Box Dish - Final Offering NIB! FENTON GLASS BLUE FAVRENE HP COVERED MELON CANDY BOX DISH FINAL OFFERING 2011 Here is a gorgeous blue favrene covered melon candy box or dish made by the Fenton Art Glass Company in 2011 as part of Fenton's final offering. Fenton has ceased production of collectible handmade glass so a rare and exquisite piece such as this will be hard to come by in the future. It is made of Fenton's popular favrene glass. Favrene glass has a cobalt blue base which is sprayed with metallic salts including real silver and reheated during the glass making process, creating the vibrant purple, blue and silver iridescence of this truly stunning glass. Fenton's favrene glass has been compared to Tiffany's blue favrille. The lid is made of french opalescent glass with a satin interior. This lovely candy box measures approximately 5.5" tall by 5.5" in diameter and is handpainted with white and purple florals in a design by Stacy Williams. It is signed by Fenton artist D.
