This is one very limited 2008 Fenton Glass Burmese 8" Vase in excellent condition, still in its original Fenton box....Fenton ware # 8808TW. This piece was designed by renowned artist Kelsey Murphy. It features an intricately carved floral Dogwood scene, with humblebees hovering nearby, that surrounds the entire vase. This vase is the result of a skillful and painstaking process. After the glass has been annealed, a special mask is glued into place on the vase's surface. Using anadvanced "vignetting" technique, each vase is is carefully sandcarved, by hand, in a dozen distinct stages of sucessive cameo carving required to create the remarkable depth and intricate details. This piece was made at Fenton Glass and then hand carved in the "Made in Heaven" studio owned by Robert Bonkamp and Kelsy Murphy. It is signed by both of these designers.
