Fenton Pitcher Rosalene-Tranquil Pond 2003 Connoisseur Search Up for sale is a beautiful shiny rosalene pitcher made by Fenton. Was produced for the 2003 Connoisseur Collection. The connoisseur collection are the creme-de-creme of the fenton pieces! They retain their value and increase as the years go by. This pitcher is no exception to the rule! Made of shiny rosalene glass and decorated in the pattern called "Tranquil Pond". Measures 9 inches tall and is mint condition without any visible flaws or stains. The Fenton number is 2968 D7 and is a limited edition number 1229/1950. Was designed by Stacy Williams and hand painted by Brian Fluharty. Has the Script cursive F on the bottom along with the original paper price sticker of $129.00. Comes with the original cards and envelope. The decoration is of lotus blossom flowers and a dragonfly hovering over them. The details are superb and textured. Done in peaceful pastel shades that really bring out the Eastern influence. The flowers are floating on a river of blue with the lighter blue horizon. They are done in shades of white, pink and hints of faint red. They rest on green leaves. Along the shore are different flowers that are in stages of bloom. To the one side of the large flower on a small lily pad is a delightful Frog!! Shows the influence of being one with nature and having inner peace at the same time. Hence the "Tranquil Pond". Or that is my thoughts anyway! Always open for interpretation! Seconds are marked with a sandblasted(frosted) block F or with a sandblasted(frosted) star. If you see two stars this mark means it was donated by Fenton Glass for Charity.
