Up for bid is an unmarked and non-iridized black glass "Mikado" compote made by the Fenton Glass Company. Most of these compotes have the ruffled top so the round compote is much less common. The compote, circa the 1920s, is about 7.25 inches tall, about 9.9 inches in diameter at the top, and about 5.0 inches in diameter at the bottom. The exterior pattern is Fenton cherries and the interior pattern is a combination of chrysanthemums and the rising sun. I can see no chips or cracks; however there is some minor wear on the bottom, straw marks, and crazing around the inside rim (see last photo). The compote has a low starting price with no reserve. Buyer pays for USPS shipping and insurance. Seller will ship within a few days after payment clears. Please note that I do not ship overseas.
