This is the deep plate in the Fiesta line made by the Homer Laughlin China Company from 1936 to 1969. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and it has good glaze. There are a few very minor, very light utensil scratches. The deep plate was added to the line in August of 1936 and then continued to be made throughout while the cobalt color was part of the line from the beginning and was discontinued in the Fall of 1951. Although quite often referred to now as a soup bowl, it is listed as a deep plate in the original catalogs and is 8 5/16" in diameter and 1 9/16" high.
