THE FIFTEENTH PELICAN by Tere Rios, The Incredible Adventures of a Nun Who Discovers She Can Fly, published by Doubleday & Co. 1965 stated first edition, hardcover, ( 5 3/4" x 8 1/2" ), gray boards, black lettering on spine, 118 pages, Book is Fine in a VG+ plastine protected dust jacket. Jacket has a half inch tear and a crease in the top of it's front face and is price clipped. This was basis of "The Flying Nun." "Of all the nuns in the world, Sister Bertrille was probably the smallest"--yet she becomes suspected of being a spy by the CIA. . . uh, because she could fly! Whimsical illustrations by Arthur King.
