Beautiful and unusual 800 standard seven piece, table place setting with hand painted porcelain and gilt silver mounted handles with a different full three dimensional cast and chased head or bust on the end of each. The dinner knife measures 10 1/4 inches and has the head of a bearded man. The stainless steel blunt end blade is marked "Nicht Rostend" and the twin figure trademark of J.A. Henckels. All the other pieces have gilt silver working ends - that is silver spoon shaft & bowl, shaft & tines or knife blade. The dinner fork measures 9 3/16 inches long and has the head of a female with her hair pulled up in a high bun. The tablespoon measures 9 3/8 inches long and has the same female head as the fork, though cast slightly larger. The dessert spoon measures 7 5/8 inches long and has a small version of a similar female head with a slightly different hair bun treatment. The teaspoon measures 6 1/8 inches long and has the head of a child. The dessert or fruit fork measures 7 3/8 inches and has the head of the same female as the dessert spoon, though again in a slightly different size casting. The dessert or fruit knife measures 7 7/8 inches and has the head of a beardless young man? with long hair.
