A fabulous, Antique, pillow case with the top of Petit Point & needlepoint. The figures of a Woman & young lady plus more are done in the finest Petit point. Also done in petit-point are the animals on each side of the ladies. The flowers & foilage are done in needlepoint. The background is burgandy and the array of colors can be seen in the pictures. At one point someone backed this with velvet to encase a pillow-the backing is a green velvet and t is an opening to inset a pillow. I have not cleaned and condition is very good. The background velvet has fading but the needlepoint is truly wonderful. The needlepoint measures approx. 19 1/2 inches by 18 inches.
