Dated August 11, 1920, andthis cover is of some historical importance as the sender, who usedGrand Pacific Hotel stationery (imprint on backflap), signed his nameon the back of the envelope--C.E. Pemberton. Dr. Pemberton was anentomologist who went to Fiji in 1920 to obtain a quantity of "theegg-feeding mirid bug Tytthus mundulus (Bredd.)...for control of thesugar cane leafhopper Perkinsiella saccharicida". A nice autographedcover (I can scan the back if desired), from a prominent scientist thatcould be written up for a topical exhibit on the history of sugar.
