Please see lot title and picture for details. � The stamp is listed in Scott's 2012 C-F catalog as #1197e, this stamp is valued at US$ 50.00 by Scott. � It has a� gap� of approx. 4mm between 20c and XX. This stamp was issued in April 2008. � At the beginning of the print run of 23c on 20c stamps, a� few� trial sheets were printed trialling different overprints before Post Fiji decided which one would be best suited for ongoing use. � Trials with two large X's � (XX) spaced with varying gaps between 20c and XX instead of the issued three small x's (xxx) was rejected. � However, all the various rejected trials were regarded as suitable for use so they were all released and issued for postal use � I am advised that only one or sometimes two sheets received each of these particular trial overprints, that being the case only 100 or 200 of each of these stamps can exist, making them rather difficult to find. Collector interest in the Fiji overprints is already high and the much fuller illustrated and more detailed listings provided in the recently released Scott 2012 C-F catalogue plus the current series of articles in Gibbon's Stamp Monthly can only add to that interest. � I would recommend that any interested collectors read the excellent book by Bryan Jones covering the first four years of these issues (2006 - 2009). � It is published by the Pacific islands Study Circle (PISC), as is the quarterly magazine Pacifica which is another excellent source of information. N.B. I HAVE ENQUIRED WITH POST FIJI AND THEY EXPLAIN THAT THE ROUTE THE MAIL TAKES IS OUTSIDE THEIR CONTROL ONCE IT HAS LEFT FIJI. IN THIS AGE OF HIGH ANTI-TERRORISM ALERT STATUS, SOME COUNTRIES THAT THE MAIL TRANSITS SEEM TO SUBJECT INTERNATIONAL MAIL TO QUITE INTENSE SECURITY AND THIS CAN LEAD TO SLIGHT DELAYS. As a result, this means that a registered airmail packet might be as much as 4 or 5 weeks in transit on rare occasions. ALL LOTS WILL BE WELL PACKED BEFORE SENDING. Stamps will be removed from the album pages or display sheets before mailing to reduce postage costs. Save on postage when you purchase more than one lot. I will not do local pickup.
