This is both one of the rarest X-Files collectibles and one of the rarest Magic Eight Balls! In fact, it's the only one I've ever seen on eBay (I have listed it a few times over the last couple of years, but no other has surfaced).Given to cast & crew as a gift for those working on (and starring in) the 8th season of Fox Television's The X-Files by the Art Department. This Magic 8 Ball was actually manufactured by Mattel and it is believed there are under 100 in existence.In its original box, the ball has only been removed for photographic purposes. The box shows shelf wear, and the ball has a few minor manufacturing blemishes. Some of the "magic fluid" has evaporated, so it's not working as well as it did when issued just over a decade ago.
