FINE PAIR OF VICTORIAN WINDSOR DINING SIDE CHAIRS Circa: 1890 Dimensions: 15" wide x 17" deep x 31" high Stock Number: HS36-127 Approximate Weight: 20 lbs. This Beautiful Pair of Chairs was made in England circa 1890. We purchased the Chairs in Nottingham, England. The Chairs are made of Oak. They have a rich, Golden Oak Patina. During the early 18th century t came a widespread use of a type of Chair known as the Windsor Chair. Characterized by a solid wood seat, simple turned legs and a stick back (one made from turned spindles), this robust form of seating gave rise to a host of regional variations. The styles of these Chairs were governed more by geography than by period fashions. This particular Pair of Matching Windsor Chairs are in good condition. They came with a set of Hand Made Seat Pads which we left on them to add to the English Country Charm. If you have been searching for a Pair of English Country Chairs to complete your Cottage Style Design, this beautifully made Pair of Windsor Chairs are the perfect choice for you.
