This is a superb and an unusual pair of circa c.19th Victorian Staffordshire dogs modelled as a St. Bernard dogs. These staffordshire dogs are very heavy. They have excellent attention to detail with the most wonderful expressive faces. Each has a gilt collar around the neck. One dog has had a repair at some time to a front leg - see image please. Minor flecks of wear to paint on a dog's nose, minor age grazing in places but nothing of any significance. Overall these dogs are in excellent and age commensurate condition. Measures some 10" height and some 12" long. Very unusual pair of St. Bernard dogs. A fine addition to any Staffordshire collection.
