FINE & RARE, PIERCED, BONBON SERVER INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO. PRELUDE PATTERN OF 1939 This auction is for a vintage (ca. 1950's) and difficult to find, 8-pierce, Sterling silver bonbon server by International Silver Co. in their early and highly collectible PRELUDE pattern of 1939. This original server is crafted from medium / heavy gauge Sterling silver (weight on my postal scales is 3/4 ounces of the precious alloy) and measures 4 3/4" long x 1 7/8" wide (diameter of pierced round serving section). Back of handle is marked International, old trademark, and Sterling. Condition is very good, close to pristine. Sports no monograms or removals, areas of unsightly damage or repairs; just light surface scratches and tarnish that will polish out beautifully. All wear is commensurate with age and gentle use. Offered for a low opening bid and no reserve. Similar serving pieces retail for $30.00+ when found in other venues.
