Bayonet for M62 or M76 bayonet with scabbard.Pre 1970`s ConstructionFinnish RK-62 assault rifle bayonet and sheath.The Finland Defense Forces FDF moved from the M39 Bayonet designed to be a bridge between a Puukko knife and bayonet, to a more modern version for the assault rifle that replaced the M-39 bolt action rifle.Pictured is the Puukko sized and shaped bayonet that acts both as a fighting knife and bayonet when attached to the rifle.It is housed in its leather belt sheath of a slip fit design for quick access.The bayonet is made by FISKARS / Hackman at one time they were two separate companies but are now one and both have made Bayonets and Knives for the Finnish Military for many years.The locking button can be seen in the middle of the phenol ic grip panels.This is polished for officer's present. Meaning bluing on blade was removed.Total length :29,5 cm,11 1/2"Knife:handle:10,5cm,4",blade:15,3cm,6".Blade shows use,factory sharpened. Handle is Knicked. Price reflects condition. If unaltered price would be $100 more. Bayonet functions fine.HACKMAN/Fiskars started to mark these in the 1970-80`s so this is an earlier 1960`s bayonet.
