is a great pair of sterling silver figural salt & pepper shakers. Look much like the Japanese figurals, but they are not. I am not familiar with the hallmarks, I can only guess that they are possibly mid-European--guarantee to be good and old-have that industrial-age look from the 30's & 40's. Woman has an M. monogrammed on back & man has a V., possibly give as a gift & initials are first names??? In excellent condition--measure 2 1/4" high. Have credible weight. Please email with questions. NOTE: I have done a little more research on these shakers & found that they are Finnish circa 1958. They are 916/1000 silver content. Crown mark is unidentified town of origin.
