Firearm Winchester 1873 in 38 WCF Lever Rifle This Winchester Model 1873 in .38 WCF caliber Lever Action Rifle was manufactured in 1890, and was a favorite among Cowboys of the west and fur trappers. The rifle appears to be all original and features a factory 24" hexagon barrel; case-hardened steel receiver with side loading port, bronze bottom plate and top ejection dust cover. The hexagon barrel has a 'shark fin' front and buckhorn style rear sights. The stock & forearm are smooth hardwood with a straight grip. Other features are a serrated hammer; lever-lock safety; and crescent steel butt-plate. Rifle shows even and normal wear for a rifle of this era and makes a great investment piece.
