Nightwatch lamp made by Nightwatch Lamp Company, Claverack, New York Rare Firefighter Fire Dept Lamp By Nightwatch This is an unusual item for that firefighting memorabilia. It is a lamp made by the Nightwatch Lamp It measures overall to top of finial 36" by 16-1/2" across bottom. It consists of a brass fire department Dietz No. 20 lantern electrified, a brass Elkhart hose nozzle and a wrench and a nice plaque at back. It is in very good condition. The only damage is a split on the bottom of the base that in no way harms the appearance or the use of this lamp.. The lamp at top lights up and the lantern lights up with a flickering flame bulb. I have just posted a picture of the split on the bottom of the lamp. The brass items are from Akron Brass company a leading provider of All Hand Fire Equipment. These miniatures are made by the same company that makes the real equipment for fire departments. The brass items include: a nozzle, and a fire plug opener. There is also a brass Dietz Lantern that lights up separately and is clearly marked Dietz #20. It’s a beautiful lantern! Also wrapped around the fire plug opener is the same kind of rope that firefighters use. / The back grown is a large Fire Department Emblem with no specific department on it so it will be appropriate for all fire departments.
