This is a RARE - Fireman's Axe - These are referred to as parade axe's or Viking style axe's. I believe this is a 19th century example. Estate find in Upstate Central NY. Measures roughly 33-3/4" long and is about 10-1/4" long from outer most edge of curved blade to the tip of the curved point opposite the blade. The blade at the tips of the curve measures around 6-1/2" wide. Very cool piece of history.
