The First Night Gilbert and Sullivan, 1958 box set, edited by Reginald Allen. The set is made up of 2 items: First, there's a hardcover book containing complete Librettos of the fourteen operas, exactly as presented at their premier performances. This book is illustrated throughout with contemporary drawings. It contains 463 pages and was published by The Heritage Press. It's in very good condition with some light soiling. Secondly, the set contains a box containing facsimiles of all the first-night programs from the performances. Both items - the book and both box of programs - are housed together in a slipcase, which is also in very good condition with light corner bumps. Nice set.
