Date : 1844 Description: A fascinating antique engraving of Fish. The engraving shows in detail various fish - Swordfish - tusk of a swordfish driven into a ship - ocellated Pteracilis - Dorado - horse mackerel - fishing boats off Capri. This is an original print, published over 160 years ago. This is not only a fascinating historical reference, it is also a wonderful work of art. On the rear of the engraving t is very interesting text relating to the print. Many years ago this would have been part of an original antique book - however, Hairy Dog Gallery have purchased this as a fascinating antique print in its own right. A beautiful print that would look fantastic framed either individually or in a group.
