Fine 1980s Ancient China Shard Necklace Larger round shard of Ancient China with image of two carp – quite rare! –set in sterling silver bezel and bail hangs from a sterling cable choker necklace. Pendant setting has the mark, “Silver STERLING”. It is 1 5/8” across and 3/8” thick, slightly concave. Necklace is 16” long and 1/8” diameter cable marked “925 Italy” on chain ends. Closes with a simple “S” hook (no jump rings). Made in the 1980s, when such pendants were newly popular, well made because they were expensive, and more likely to be genuine than those made today. This is a previously owned estate item in excellent condition. It has a soft patina of age, but could be polished bright by the new owner.
