The center band is engraved "Contains Atocha Gold From Mel Fisher" . The cap is engraved "Today's the day . Mel Fisher" The Gold and Chrome pens are in the pic just to show the pen as open for use and cap off. Has a fresh PR4 refill. Gift boxed. The Fisher Space Pen was designed in 1965 by Paul C. Fisher for NASA, Ordinary pens rely on gravity to write and if you hold them upside down they quit and there was a need for a pen that would work in the zero gravity vacuum of space and in the most extreme conditions.
