FiveGlass Stereo SlidesShowing a great gathering of Peopleon a New York PierSurrounding the Famous Ocean LinerSS Normandiec.1935These slides were among a group of stereo slides one dated Oct. 1935 (not of the Normandie). It shows the SS Normandie docked near pier 88 in New York City. A street sign on a poll reads "W 50 ST". This could be a portion of the 100,000 spectators who gathered for the arrival of the SS Normandie on her maiden voyage of June of 1935. The last slide could show the ocean liner leaving (. . . or arriving if the slide is turned over!).
