This is a true Flame Mahogany Edwardian leviathan of an Armoire from the early 1900's. It is 80" tall, 66.5" wide, and 20" deep. The two side doors each have two beautiful Flame Mahogany veneered panels on solid Mahogany. The inside panels are beveled and one of the pictures is of one of the inside panels. Each of the four panels also have Satinwood inlays as evident in the pictures. The center door has a large beveled mirror with 8 small pits on the silver backing, most are at the bottom of the mirror. The center compartment has 3 mahogany drawers. All drawere have hand cut dovetailed joints, also evident in one of the pictures. The side compartments each have a single large drawer on the bottom and hardware for a rod. The drawers themselves are solid mahogany on the sides and back. Usually drawers are made of a cheaper wood since no one will see inside, but the owner. The crown has beautiful inlaid satinwood on all three sides. This armoire breaks down into 5 pieces; crown, base, and 3 compartments for easy transportation. This is an old piece of furniture that has obviously traveled from England so it does show wear so please take that in mind when you bid.
